Matchups
The big question for the Jaguars: Which David Garrard shows up? He can be good, like he was setting a career high with four TDs last week, or awful, like when he threw four interceptions in Week 2.
It’ll help if he gets Maurice Jones-Drew, who had a season-high 135 rushing yards last week, involved in the passing game early.
Once he builds a rhythm it will pay for him to target his deeper threats. Both Mike Sims-Walker and Mike Thomas could have big games against the leagues worst defense. Marcedes Lewis, who is a matchup problem to begin with, could also be in for a big game.
Owners of Houston Texans players have reason to be excited, too. Jacksonville’s allowed almost 120 yards rushing per game and almost 280 yards passing per game this season. That’s music to Andre Johnson and Arian Foster’s ears.
