2010 Week 10 fantasy football preview with projections: Ravens at Falcons

Our first Thursday night game provides plenty of fantasy repercussions. I like the fact that the Falcons have scored 30.8 points in their four home wins and that the Ravens have held six of their eight opponents to 17 points or fewer.

Should make for a fun matchup.

Matchups

Sunday, for the third time in five games, the Ravens held an opposing team to 85 yards rushing. That’s not something Michael Turner wants to hear. The Falcons won’t be happy either if Roddy White’s twisted knee keeps him hobbled.

The surprising part? On the season, the Falcons have allowed less rushing yards per game (95.9) than the Ravens (104.8)

The Ravens offense has been clicking, though. They’ve scored 28.5 points and accumulated 389.5 yards in the last four games.

As a diehard Baltimore fan i see Baltimore pulling this one out. The Falcons allow 250+yds through the air a game(26th),however they are stopping the run allowing only 95yds per game on the ground (6th). Now its the Georgia Dome so it will be a great conditions to throw the ball other than that harsh 50 degree weather last Sunday at M+T Bank. So i see Flacco throwin all day. He has to get Boldin goin early, doing this will call more attention over to Boldin and give mason, Housh, Heap, and even Stallworth room to get open. I mentioned Donte Stallworth his Presence will give alot of opportunities to the other wideouts accross the middle due to his quickness and speed. I see the Ravens offense pullin this one out 27-17. Flacco-262yds 2TDs Boldin-89yds TD Heap-34 Yds TD

@Sam: Do you have video evidence that McClain has spit on someone?

I AM ADIE-HARD FALCONS FAN 2THE BONE!!! I BELIEVE IT WILL BE ANOTHER CLOSE ONE JUS LIKE THE TAMPA BAY GAME…SAME RESULTS…THE ATLANTA FRONT LINE NEEDS TO PROTECT RYAN JUS A LIL BIT LONGER…MICHAEL JENKINS NEEDS TO STEP HIS GAME UP A LIL MORE BECAUSE HE NEEDS TO MAKE UP FOR THE TIME HE HAS MISSED… ALSO THE DEFENSE NEEDS TO PLAY STRIP THE BALL MORE…JUS LIKE THE RAVENS DID IN THE BUFFALO GAME….BE MORE AGGRESSIVE…SPECIAL TEAMS PLAY SHOULD BE ALERT FOR SUCH THINGS AS ON-SIDE ATTEMPTS…SHOULD BE A NAIL-BITER… MATT RYAN IMPROVES TO 18-1 AT HOME!!!!

@Marlon: Ryan’s home record is amazing. This is such a perfect game to kick off this season’s Thursday Night Football schedule.

Should I start Flacco over Orton this week then?

@mep: Sorry I missed the advice on this one. Had more family troubles this week.
I hope whichever you decided to start is the best one. Be sure to let us know who you picked and why.
