2010 Week 6 fantasy football preview with projections: Seahawks at Bears

Hope you’re not expecting Matt Forte to have another career-best rushing game. In fact, hopefully you’re not expecting any big running games s in the Seattle-Chicago matchup.

Tell you why in a few paragraphs.

Matchups

Check out these rushing statistics:

  1. The Seahawks have rushed for more than 77 yards in only one game this season. The Bears have allowed more than 85 yards rushing in only one game this season.
  2. The Seahawks have allowed no team to rush for more than 89 yards against them this season. They are the second-ranked run defense in the NFL. Chicago ran for 58.0 yards per game (174 total) in weeks 2-4.

Luckily for Matt Forte owners, the Bears’ air assault should be locked and loaded with the return of Jay Cutler, who is returning from his fifth concussion since his days at Vanderbilt. Seattle has given up an average of 372 yards passing in it’s last three contests, including a 455-yarder win Week 3. Forte leads the team in receptions and is tied for second in targets.

Seattle gets a Bears defense coming off a 3-interception, 5-sack game and had a 3-fumble recovery game in Week 4.

If you’re betting overs and unders. Bet the over on Jay Cutler’s projected TDs (1.8) and the over on the Bears defensive sacks (2.2).
