With a current average draft position of 6.05 as per fantasy football calculator, even though it pains me to agree with the experts on this one, Mario Manningham represents a true value at the wide receiver position.
Last year Manningham had 60 receptions for 944 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. That was with half a year of Steve Smith starting in front of him as the Giants number two wide receiver. Steve Smith has since moved on to Philadelphia and Super Mario has the number two wide receiver slot all to his own. I see no reason why he shouldn’t have an uptick in stats over a year ago. I went very conservative with my projections in my wide receiver rankings for Manningham. I gave him 75 receptions, an easily attainable number, along with 1,110 receiving yards and the same nine touchdowns as last year. That placed him 11th overall in the wide receiver rankings. He could easily exceed those numbers too and be a top 5-10 finisher. Now I wish I wouldn’t have traded him away in my dynasty league.
