2011 Week 2 Waiver Wire Wonders

Here we go with my rendition of Waiver Wire adds you should be making for week 2.

QB – Ryan Fitzpatrick - Owned in only 48% of Yahoo Leagues, he turned in a fabulous performance versus the Chiefs throwing for 208 yards and 4 TD’s.  He looked very consistent once he came in at the end of last year too.  He could be a nice add for the guy that has Peyton Manning and is searching for an answer.

RB – Carnell Williams - Owned in 18% of Yahoo Leagues, he came in and played very well in place of Steven Jackson posting 91 rush yards and 5 receptions for another 49 yards receiving.  Jackson may miss a few weeks with a quad injury, so if you need some help at running back, Carnell is an option for you.

WR – Devery Henderson - Owned in 29% of Yahoo Leagues, Both he and Robert Meachem will see an uptick in targets with Marques Colston out for several weeks.  Devery posted a nice line of 6 receptions for 100 yards receiving and 1 TD in week 1.

TE – Fred Davis - Owned in 3% of Yahoo Leagues, he looked like a beast versus the Giants taking in 5 receptions for 105 yards and having good chemistry with Rex Grossman.  I am sure everyone thinks Scott Chandler should have been the pick here.  Davis has proven in the past that he can be a player at the position.  That was Chandler’s one breakout game.  He needs to show me more before I jump on his bandwagon.

DEF – I would take the Denver defense against the Cincinnati Bengals if you are looking to play waiver wire matchups.
