2011 Week 6: Waiver Wire Wonders

It’s getting further into the season with injuries mounting and bye weeks hurting.  You may need some help at the key positions for your week six roster.  Here are my recommended waiver wire adds for this week.  Remember to be on this list the player must be less than 50% owned in Yahoo Leagues.

QB – Andy Dalton – (14% owned in Yahoo Leagues) Dalton has a decent matchup against a weak Indianapolis secondary in week six.  Look for him to exploit them with his main weapons AJ Green and Jermaine Gresham.

RB – Earnest Graham – (14% owned in Yahoo Leagues) – What???  I didn’t put Jackie Battle here???  I didn’t put him here for three reasons.  First, every fantasy site in America will be touting him this week as a waiver wire add.  Second, Battle is on a bye this week so he doesn’t help your team in week six anyway.  Thirdly, Earnest Graham should get the start versus New Orleans with LeGarrette Blount banged up this week.  I think Graham will be a nice plug and play this week for the team with Chris Johnson(bye this week) as your main running back and Cedric Benson as your only legimate other starter.

WR – Kevin Walter – (13% owned in Yahoo Leagues) – Looks like Walter was the benefactor of Andre Johnson being out of the lineup.  He had five receptions for 81 yards and a TD last week.  Look for more of that until Andre returns.

TE – Fred Davis – (38% owned in Yahoo Leagues) – People finally listened to me about Jermaine Gresham last week and he is now ineligible to to be on this list because he is more than 50% owned.  Davis has fallen back out of favor with poor performances the past two weeks.  Look for the Redskins to need the safety valve Tight End against the Eagles this week.

DEF – Oakland – (11% owned in Yahoo Leagues) – I really didn’t like a lot of the matchups by the lesser owned defenses this week.  Oakland plays Cleveland who doesn’t score a lot but also has not turned the ball over much either.  But Oakland looked liked the best matchup of the litter so I went with it.
