Boom or bust flex projections for NFL Playoffs: Conference championships

If the tight end talk didn’t convince you Rob Gronkowski is a must start, hopefully this will.

Only Marshawn Lynch comes in with more projected points among skill position players. If you cheat your eyeball to the right just a smidge you’ll also see Gronkowski is our No. 1 flex player in PPR formats.

I also find it interesting that Coby Fleener comes in at 10th, ahead of LeGarrette Blount and Randall Cobb. It’s not like Fleener is slated for a huge game, it’s just that the defenses are going to be so good and the Colts and Patriots are so bad at stopping tight ends.

In leagues where you can play flex, like Draft Kings, I wouldn’t be against going with Gronk and Fleener or Gronk and Dwayne Allen. I don’t think it’s a high percentage play, but I’m pretty sure a high-risk, high-reward choice is going to come through big in daily fantasy this week. There are too few options for it not to happen.
