Boom or bust flex projections for NFL Playoffs: Divisional Round

Rob Gronkowski is in the mix and one of the first things I do when I paste all of the positions that can fit in a flex into the same spreadsheet is see where he fits in.

This week, Gronk rumbles in at No. 9 overall. He would be the No. 5 wide receiver which means his $7,100 price on Draft Kings is just about right.

He’d fit in between WR6 (Emmanuel Sanders, $7,100) and WR5 (Randall Cobb, $7,300). He is, however, almost $2,000 more than Julius Thomas ($5,300). If you trust Thomas more than me this week, he could pay big dividends. $2,000 can come in handy when picking your flex player, WR3 and RB2.

You can’t put a viable lineup together with Eddie Lacy, C.J. Anderson and Jordy Nelson on it unless Matt Flynn starts for an injured Rodgers OR Rodgers or Russell Wilson only play a half a game in a blowout. Starting Tarvaris Jackson is not recommended in your cash games or really on anything more than a .25-cent shot-in-the-dark lineup.
