2016 Draft Kit

Boom or bust flex (RB/WR/TE) projections for NFL Playoffs Week 1

One of my favorite things every week is paste all of the positions into the same sheet and sort them for the flex rankings.

You get to see how deep running back is compared to wide receiver and it’s always interesting to see where Jimmy Graham and Rob Gronkowski fit in.

This week, we see how little talent there is.

Not that Martavis Bryant isn’t talented, just that it’s surprising to see him as the 11th-best skill position player on this list.

If it wasn’t based on statistics and matchups I might go in and manually adjust Torrey Smith and maybe even Mohamed Sanu to be ahead of Bryant, but I’m going to let it slide.

I’m also not really like Jeremy Hill at No. 3. I feel like Dez Bryant should be there. I’m going to have Dez in most of my lineups at Draft Kings.

Like I said in the tight end projections, it’s Greg Olsen and everybody else, and you can see the wide gap between them on this list. Olsen is the No. 1o skill player but you have to drop to 24th to find TE2, Heath Miller.

I have a few more notes from the Steelers-Ravens game that really need to be addressed.

1. Haloti Ngata is expected back for the Ravens which means their run-stuffing defense got stuffier.

2. Troy Polamalu is expected back for the Steelers, whose defense can use all the help it can get.

3. Weather is expected to be bad — 100% chance of precipitation with high winds. This is typically only a bad thing for kickers and for some passing games. Ben Roethlisberger is a mudder. Joe Flacco doesn’t like the Super Bowl being played in cold weather, but he did throw 13 TDs and only 5 interceptions with two rushing touchdowns in November and December.
