Last week our kicker projections encouraged you to play the correct top four kickers.
We didn’t quite have the right order. We had Shaun Suisham at the top (he finished fourth). But I think the 4-FG game from Adam Vinatieri surprised a few people.
We had Vinatieri fourth, he finished first. It’ll be interesting to see how close we get this week.
There are a handful of low scores. As you might expect this deep in to the postseason, the teams left are among the stingiest this season against kickers.
The only kicker with a good matchup is Stephen Gostkowski against the Ravens. Gostkowski was probably going to be the top kicker anyway, this only further cements him in the spot. The Ravens have allowed 10.4 fantasy points per game to kickers over their last five games, third-most in the NFL.
The Broncos are projected to be the highest scoring team this week and the Packers are supposed to be second. Playing kickers for teams expected to score a lot of points is usually a good call, so you can consider Connor Barth and Mason Crosby despite these projections.
