2016 Draft Kit

Boom or bust PPR flex (RB/WR/TE) projections for NFL Playoffs: Divisional Round

We’ve spent the PPR projections talking about hidden gems that could provide unexpected performances this weekend.

But now that we’re t flex we should probably talk about the star players you’ll have to consider sacrificing a lot of salary for if you want to start them.

We go back to Rob Gronkowski. Now that we’re in the PPR format he vaults into what would the fourth-best wide receiver this week. That makes his $7,100 salary at Draft Kings an excellent value. Draft Kings awards a full point per reception.

Another good mid-range value is Julian Edelman. In the standard wide receiver projections I speculated Edelman could finish with an 8-12 catch game. our projections reflect that which is why he jumped into the top-8 now.

These projections may be wrong about Marshawn Lynch. They have him 14th, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he tops the flex leaderboard by the end of the week. So if you believe Lynch will crush it this week, ignore the projection and get him in your lineup.

Embrace variance this week. There are only eight games. One of them is probably going to go belly up and make all fantasy football prognosticators look like fools. It’s just how the NFL works. Can the Panthers beat the Seahawks? Yes they can. It’s on the bad side of doubtful, but it’s a possibility.
