My advice to you is going to be wrong. Maybe not this week. Maybe not for the next five weeks.
But I’m going to be wrong. I know that. I need you to know that. If you are relying solely on what I type here then you are going to lose. JZAK and I have said this a number of times. We like to offer just a few of the many opinions and just some of the information you should use on draft day, waiver wire day or when you’re setting your daily fantasy lineups.
We have a case in point from last week. Goes by the name of Jeremy Hill. I told everyone about how bad a matchup it was. How the experts were starting him but I could not recommend him.
I was wrong.
That’s why they’re the experts. Hill went bananas. If you didn’t have Hill in your lineup you probably weren’t going to win your tournament. His salary was set based on his old role as a committee back with Giovani Bernard, not like the starter he was. Playing him allowed you to start more expensive players in other spots.
Last week was my best week of an up-and-down season and it’s because I embraced my own fallibility. I rostered Hill in a handful of lineups and cashed in most of them.
Our boom-or-bust projections were right and wrong in other places too. We faded Aaron Rodgers, avoided the Rams defense trap against the Cardinals and started Marquess Wilson and Harry Douglas. We also pushed Matt Forte, Jay Cutler and Martavis Bryant.
When you play the boom-or-bust game you win some and you lose some. I hope you’ve won more than you’ve lost thanks to our projections.
