We have Emmanuel Sanders 12th this week, but the last time the Broncos faced the Chargers he had nine catches for 120 yards and three touchdowns.
It wouldn’t be a stretch to see him vault into the top 5 or even the top three.
Some other players who have a chance to move way up from their current spot in the projections: Kelvin Benjamin, Martavis Bryant, Mike Evans, Marquess Wilson, Sammy Watkins, Steve Smith Sr. and Josh Gordon.
In Week 1, with Derek Anderson under center, against Tampa Bay, Benjamin caught six passes for 92 yards and a touchdown.
Bryant is a serious home run threat and the Falcons are poor against wide receiver 2s and wide receiver 3s.
Evans doesn’t have a killer matchup on paper, but Evans seems to catch two touchdowns each week.
Jay Cutler makes it a risky play, but Wilson could step in and just get all of Brandon Marshall‘s statistics. If he does he’ll easily pay off his salary on the daily fantasy sites.
Watkins is a completely boom or bust play, but Green Bay allows No. 1 wide receivers 76.8 yards per game.
With Torrey Smith banged up, Steve Smith Sr. may see more targets than usual. He had seven catches last week.
The Johnny Manziel factor is at play for Gordon. It’s a bad matchup, but Manziel could bring new energy to the team and Gordon only needs to connect on a couple deep targets to turn a bad game into a huge game.
