Who saw that coming in Week 8? We did

Checking the matchups this week, there are some surprising performances waiting on the horizon.

Now, there’s no huge mathematical formula involved, no deep thought, just a look at basic fantasy points allowed.

Who could surprise everyone this week? Let’s take a look:

Week 7 pre-game 6-pack: I found Boldin and Daniels!

Boldin, Daniels on waivers

My regular reminder about checking your waiver wire – I found Anquan Boldin staring at me today. I couldn’t drop Willis McGahee fast enough.

Also, Owen Daniels was available in an ESPN league. Owen Daniels is the No. 1-ranked tight end in standard ESPN leagues.

How does this happen? I have no idea. But what I do know is, I’m not going to leave them for someone else.

Check the wire, you never know what you’ll find.

Week 7 QB matchups: Lions, Titans and Jaguars on bye

Take, for instance, the Buffalo Bills running back situation or the surprise in the Tennessee Titans backfield. How will they play out for the rest of the fantasy season?

Week 5 Day of Reckoning: Dynasty implication edition

After last week when we had two new running backs jump onto the fantasy scene, we get two wide receivers breaking out in Week 5.

Jeremy Maclin and Miles Austin didn’t just break out either, they blew up. Granted, they did it against the equivalent of junior high defenses, but their performances will go down as legendary breakouts.

Will they become dynasty studs? What about the aforementioned Rashard Mendenhall and Jerome Harrison? There are several other players with Week 5 implications you should be targeting in trades, picking up off waivers or considering as a potential keeper in the offseason.

Breaking: Edwards is a Jet; Crabtree signs

Our updates rarely fit into the breaking news mold, but I’m here typing and this news is pretty big.

Well, one of them is significantly bigger than the other, and I’m guessing you’ll have a different opinion depending on your league type.
