Let us start with one thing: You guys rock.
The letters on my keyboard are getting worn from typing that one phrase this year, but there is no other way to slice it. Before we go any further, let me take you back to a simpler, more elegant time. It was a little more than a month ago… Continue reading ‘Letter from the editors: Because you are awesome’

To all of our American readers, celebrate your independence well today.
I’ll be drinking adult beverages and eating way more grilled meats than a human body should be able to digest. Oh, and potato salad.
Celebrate but be safe out there. If you drink, don’t drive. If you blow stuff up — for entertainment, of course — make sure no body parts are in danger.
Dead/maimed ninjas will not help in our quest for world domination. If self preservation doesn’t matter to you, think about the Ninja Army instead. Continue reading ‘American Independence and a Chinstrap Ninjas recap’

Hopefully, our American readers spent some time in the sun, slurping frosty beverages and devouring a variety of grilled meats this holiday weekend.
Memorial Day is my favorite holiday, ringing in my birthday while simultaneously launching the summer season. It also means fantasy baseball season is really heating up — two perfect games in the same season? — and, with the arrival of June, that fantasy football season has jettisoned the rocket boosters of fast approach and is mere weeks from going into full-scale preseason orbit. Missed something? Relax. We’ve got everything collected on our 2010 NFL Draft page.
And don’t forget to tune in Thursday night for the first day of our three-day NFL Draft liveblog. What’s that? Check out our MLB Opening Day liveblog and you’ll get an idea. The NFL Draft should be a little less hectic.

We’ve done a lot here in the last couple of months. Unveiled a lot and produced a lot. You’ve rewarded us with more views than we thought possible in only our second fantasy baseball season.
For example, April 2010 is only four days old, turning five as this is being written, but it’s already our second best month ever. Last week was our best week ever, beating the previous week, which beat the previous… you get the picture.
Let’s not get bogged down in numbers — even though they represent your awesome — because we’ve got a lot to talk about in this early April letter. It’s all stuff we know you are going to love. Continue reading ‘Letter from the editors: The baseball liveblog? It’s just the beginning’

What do we mean by live? Live blog, brother. Fantasy live blog to be exact.
Barring the most obscene and/or unforeseen of circumstances, we’ll be live on the site all day on Monday, April 5, the first full day of Major League Baseball games in 2010. The plan is to tell you which players are making liars out of us, which are making us look like geniuses and discussing the games and players in general. Continue reading ‘MLB Opening Day 2010: We’re doing it live’
