If you have a spare quarter, for a Draft Kings Quarter Arcade game, or a spare dollar for a Dive, Squib or 250-man tourney at FanDuel, take a chance on a Thursday-heavy lineup.
This week’s Thursday matchup, Indianapolis vs. Tennessee, has a couple fantasy stars and sleepers to choose from.
I threw together a couple lineups with Tennessee and Indianapolis players and had enough left over to mix in Rob Gronkowski, Calvin Johnson, Reggie Bush and the Seattle defense.
At FanDuel you can only start four players from the same team, so keep that in mind.
Here are the players from Thursday’s game I recommend starting:
QB: Ryan Fitzpatrick — In the last five week, the Colts have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Andrew Luck has a bad matchup, on paper, against the Titans.
RB: Donald Brown — Tennessee has allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing running backs in the last five weeks. I like Brown over Trent Richardson, but either one (or both?) could be a nice play under these Thursday-heavy constraints.
RB: Chris Johnson — Johnson disappointed massively last week, but the experts at Fantasy Pros still have him in the top-20. A handful think he’ll be a top-10 play.
WR: Kendall Wright — The best WR matchup this week based on fantasy points against.
WR: T.Y. Hilton — The worst WR matchup on paper, but if we’re going Thursday-heavy, Hilton has to be in the conversation.
K: Rob Bironas — Kickers average top-5 fantasy points against the Colts defense in the last five weeks.
K: Adam Vinatieri — A top-5 option based on quite a few rankings out there, including the guys at Fantasy Football Today.
DEF: Indianapolis/Tennessee — The teams are 6th and 7th in points allowed to D/STs. The fantasy football community is all over the place on ranking the two. I chose to go a different direction in my Thursday-heavy lineups.
