Patriots impact rookies | Patriots impact sleepers | More team previews
st: 6th in DVOA* overall offense (5th pass, 14th rush) | 12th in DVOA* overall defense (12th pass, 13th run)
nd: Among the top-10 most effective defenses against WR1s (7.9 pass attempts per game, 64.5 yards per game), but third-worst against TEs (8, 65.5), according to Football Outsiders’ defense vs. receiver types chart.
rd: Key loss: CB Darrelle Revis | Key addition: DL Jabaal Sheard
th: From a fantasy perspective, there isn’t much new to talk about since the Super Bowl. Sure, star quarterback Tom Brady faces a suspension for deflategate, but LeGarrette Blount is back in the backfield, Julian Edelman and Brandon Lafell are the wide receivers and Rob Gronkowski is living the Gronk life. While losing Brady for four or more games may cost the team a few wins, the loss of Revis will likely have the biggest impact on the Patriots’ 2015.
