My weekly caveat for individual defensive players still applies here. I’m not down on all of the individual defensive players.
There just aren’t enough hours in the day.
If we could get the government to extend the day by a few more hours we could discuss nuggets like this:
Bobby Wagner will be out this week and is expected to miss a few weeks.
K.J. Wright will likely slide from Sam linebacker to the coveted Mike spot, according to Rotoworld. Wright is already a top-50 linebacker based on my projections. He should move into Wagner’s territory in the top-20 IDP overall with the move.
Patrick Willis‘ toe injury has him questionable this week. If he can’t go, Chris Borland is the likely replacement. Borland wouldn’t have much trouble meeting Willis 5.2-tackle expectations if he gets the start.
I changed the formula a bit to reward tackles because the list seemed defensive back-heavy. Despite the change, Pittsburgh’s Cortez Allen and Troy Polamalu remain in the top-10. Each have earned huge chunks of tackles so far this season.
