These matchups are going to be a little light on commentary this week.
At least that’s my plan.
I’m trying something new at Draft Kings and I want to put some time into it. Hopefully it works and we can use it to our advantage for the rest of the season.
I have high confidence in these matchups. We’re only talking about teams that have meet good/bad matchup criteria for the whole season, the last five weeks and the last three weeks. If a matchup doesn’t fit in all three categories, then it has to have a significant number in the last-five-weeks and last-three-weeks.
The players are ordered based on season-long adjusted fantasy points allowed. The numbers next to the names are PPR fantasy points allowed by position and the NFL rank in that category in the last five weeks. For receivers we’ve included the yards the defense has allowed per game to that receiver type.
Top running back matchups
Le’Veon Bell vs. Cincinnati — 29.6, 6th
Frank Gore vs. Oakland — 30.6, 5th — Love some Frank Gore in DFS his week.
Jonathan Stewart vs. New Orleans — 28.8, 7th — This game will probably get out of hand, meaning the run game will be thrown out the window. Still, DeAngelo Williams is out so Stewart will essentially get all of the work.
Rashad Jennings/Andre Williams vs. Tennessee — 30.8, 4th — Jennings is questionable. Monitor the situation. Williams becomes a longshot sleeper play if Jennings can’t go.
Arian Foster vs. Jacksonville — 31.4, 3rd
Joique Bell/Reggie Bush/Theo Riddick — 25.8, 10th
Isaiah Crowell/Terrence West vs. Indianapolis — 33.2, 1st
Matt Forte played the Cowboys on Thursday

Fred Jackson/Anthony Dixon/Bryce Brown vs. Denver — 19.0, 6th
Steven Jackson vs. Green Bay — 16.9, 1st
Shane Vereen/LeGarrette Blount/Jonas Gray vs. San Diego — 17.0, 2nd
