The biggest change from non-PPR to PPR is probably that Rob Gronkowski gets company for the top spot. Gronk still has a higher floor and ceiling than Martellus Bennett, but it’s a nice matchup for Bennett this week despite Jimmy Clausen. The Lions have given up 16.8 PPR fantasy points per game to tight ends [...]

A lot of daily fantasy people are on Travis Kelce this week and I can’t blame them. He has seen a lot of targets and he is cheaper than the top options, Rob Gronkowski and Jimmy Graham. The Steelers are bad on defense, but they are a mixed matchup against tight ends. In the adjusted [...]
I’m afraid of Dwayne Allen and Coby Fleener. Allen has a lot of touchdowns and Fleener has a couple 100-yard games. If one of these guys was THE guy, I’d probably consider recommending them, but I just can’t as long as they’re both in there.
I cringed a bit when I saw the final tight end projections. It’s difficult for me to recommend Jimmy Graham, even though the machine says I should. He’s just disappointed so much over the last few weeks.
Jimmy Graham hops ahead of Rob Gronkowski in this week’s PPR rankings. If you have Graham you’re definitely starting him in your playoff opener. However, those of us who play DFS may shy away from him this week after he put up a goose egg on zero targets last week.
We’re probably a little too high on Kyle Rudolph and Jordan Cameron — Cameron might not even play — but that’s the nature of our boom-or-bust projections. We let the matchups point the way.
The fantasy points increase, but the rankings don’t change much when we move from standard to PPR in the tight end ranks. One of the changes, however, was Dion Sims Gator Hoskins advancing even closer to top-5 status this week. I’ll have plenty of Sims in lineups this week.
