As usual there’s some upheaval at the top of the running back rankings when we go from standard to PPR. Guys like Fred Jackson and Darren Sproles jump up while Andre Williams and Marshawn Lynch tumble.
I went over what a hot mess this week was in the quarterbacks post. Please check it out. I’m glad to get back to football now though, including these zany projections.
If you were surprised by my other PPR projections, you shouldn’t be surprised here. Delanie Walker, Jeremy Maclin and Darren Sproles in the top 5? Yep, these are far from chalk. But there’s serious statistical analysis behind all of it.
Well, yep. Boom or bust is right. We’ve got Darren Sproles at the top of the list. Last season, the Rams were horrible at stopping pass-catching running backs. This season, they appear to be better. Until you look a little deeper.
Wow, here’s another one that’s probably going to make a few of you laugh. My standard (NOT PPR) projections have two wide receivers and a tight end who is not Jimmy Graham at the top of the list.
