The Sock Exchange 2.21.10: 2009 points allowed to WRs

Here are the fantasy points allowed by the various teams to WR’s in 2009.  Points are based on 1 point per 10 yards rushing and receiving, 6 points per TD, and -2 points per fumble.

Here is the list from worst points allowed to least points allowed:

Jacksonville                  386

Tennessee                    384

Detroit                          365

Seattle                          343

Miami                           334

Kansas City                   324

Pittsburgh                     322

New Orleans                320

Tampa Bay                   319

Chicago                        316

New England                314

Saint Louis                   307

Arizona                        303

Indianapolis                  303

New York Giants           296

Washington                  294

Minnesota                    293

Green Bay                    285

Atlanta                         281

Oakland                       277

San Francisco               277

Baltimore                      273

Cleveland                     273

Houston                       273

Philadelphia                  272

Dallas                           267

San Diego                    265

Cincinnati                     254

Denver                         240

Buffalo                          229

Carolina                       198

New York Jets              160

In analyzing these stats on a weekly basis no particular trends show good or bad for any particular teams.

I thought it was surprising to see the Carolina Panthers though as the next stingiest defense to WR’s.
