Wide receiver 3/4 matchups for Week 10: Sleepers and busts

It didn’t come up last week, but I’ve changed the way I do my matchup rankings now. It worked out last week. We’ll see if that was an anomaly or a step in a wining direction.

The change is that now instead of just looking at Football Outsiders’ defense adjusted value over average and yards allowed, I’ve added two other rankings to the equation.

By adding in a couple different sets of fantasy points allowed rankings, I hope we’ve improved our confidence in the matchups.

Let’s get to it.

Week 10 matchups: PASS | RUN | WR1 | WR2 | WR3/4 | TE | RB (rec.)

Wide receiver 3/4

Top matchups

Chris Givens/Stedman Bailey/Damian Williams vs. Arizona

Kenbrell Thompkins/Denarius Moore/Vincent Brown vs. Denver — If you want a really contrarian pick, here you go.

Jarvis Landry/Rishard Matthews/Brandon Gibson vs. Detroit — The Lions are stingy against opposing wide receivers, allowing just 27.7 PPR fantasy points per game. However, they give up an average of 56.7 yards on seven targets per game to Nos.3 and 4 wide receivers.

Santonio Holmes/Josh Morgan vs. Green Bay Packers — I’m not buying any shares of this matchup. I don’t trust it.

Bad matchups

Jeremy Ross/Corey Fuller vs. Miami

Ricardo Lockette/Paul Richardson vs. New York Giants

Preston Parker vs. Seattle

Davante Adams vs. Chicago — I originally planned to own Adams in a lot of lineups. His targets, catches and yards are all trending up. I’ll own him slightly less after seeing this matchup.
